In this post, I want to be more personal than usual and put a real face on this issue.
For over ten years now, I have had a close relationship with a large family in Cuba. A family in Cuba is not just the core that lives in one house. A Cuban family readily includes cousins, aunts, uncles, and often neighbors who have become like family. For this reason, my Cuban ‘family’ is exceptionally large.
