“We're in journalism” was how fired Fox host Tucker Carlson justified why he went to Moscow to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Our duty is to inform people."
Carlson also justified his interview with the false claim that other journalists were not interested in talking to Putin since his invasion of Ukraine, "not a single Western journalist has bothered to interview."
Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov himself stated that Carlson was wrong about that, telling the BBC in Moscow: "Mr. Carlson is not correct; we receive a lot of requests for interviews with the president."
