I know you are exhausted, I know you want or have put your head in the sand. But we can not!
This is how we change things, is we think about them, we learn about them, and we use our voices to bring attention to them and fight against them. -
Jamie Lee Curtis
I have been mortified and writing about the absolute shredding of our Constitution, our rule of law, and our humanity. I am glad to hear of protests running JD Vance out of Vermont, nationwide Tesla protests, protests at the National Parks, Stand Up For Science, and many more small local protests. But we need the anger to rise high enough to bring blood to the streets as it were.
The drastic cuts to Medicaid, SNAP, and tossing veterans to the wind should be enough to have people armed with pitchforks and torches. Maybe putting the Social Security Department in such disarray that checks stop arriving will finally do it? I understand everyone is exhausted and most have tuned out, but holding onto our Democracy is in the hands of the people! Public sentiment is everything!
We must be vocal if we want to hold onto the things that make our country one of the most revered in the world.
